(Reuters) -British miniature wargames maker Games Workshop reported a nearly 30% jump in annual pre-tax profit on Tuesday, boosted by sales of its flagship Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 game.
The firm, known for its costly and fantastical medieval fantasy-themed wargame miniatures, has been leveraging its popular Warhammer intellectual property through various licensing deals.
It struck a deal with Amazon to adapt the Warhammer 40k universe for film and TV last year.
The company clocked 262.8 million pounds ($350.79 million) of pre-tax profit for the year ended June, compared with the previous year’s 203 million pounds.
