Kicking things off, Boss has a mobile and deadly toolset. Obviously, he’s focused on boosting other Delta Squad and Clone Troopers around him. Hang Tight Trooper, Delta Squad On Our Way is his first ability. This one gives all Delta Squad members in range 4 a Dash. That’s already useful! Moving on from there, you’ve got a nice boost to positioning with Delta, Give Me An Explosive Solution. It does cost 2 Force but does some funky stuff. It moves Clone Troopers but it can also disrupt the positioning of enemies around a target objective. The extra damage is just the cherry on top.

Let’s Get In There And Start Breaking Things is another movement ability. It does cause Boss to take some damage but the movement you get in exchange can be super useful. It’s one damage to Dash or two damage to Reposition — that’s a big boon to close gaps or avoid the enemy’s advance if needed.

Finally, we have You Need To Learn I’m A Lot Scarier Than You Are is not just an intimidation thing. For every three damage he takes, he gets to add 1 die to his attack rolls. That basically caps out at three bonus dice before he goes down and when you look at his attacks, you can see that’s a LOT of dice coming at the enemy. And when he does drag down an enemy he gets to refresh two Force, too.

Boss comes with two stances. Rapid Fire is his “ranged” stance that provides a base of 7 dice at range 5. It’s good, consistent damage along with mobility. This allows him to keep the pressure on the enemy as he pursues mission objectives.

Wet Work is his other stance and it flips the ranged dice for more up-close melee dice. Additionally, if you couldn’t tell by the name, this one forgoes any fancy foot work for just pumping out serious damage on targets. There’s some nice debuffs in there but if you need a target eliminated, this is the stance that seals the deal.

Delta Squad is currently up for pre-order and will be released on August 22, 2025.
