Grimdark has never been as much fun as Warhammer 40,000K Space Marine 2. Focus Entertainment has revealed its Year Two roadmap for the action-packed third-person shooter, featuring a Season Pass full of new cosmetics.
There will be PvE and PvP game modes, new enemies, and a new playable class. From Focus, here’s a list of what’s in store.
- 4 new Operations & a new Siege map
- 2 new Eternal War arenas
- New Stratagems (PvE) and Helbrute Onslaught (PvP) game modes
- New playable class: The Techmarine
- New weapons and free unlockable weapon variants for existing weapons
- New enemies and bosses
- New Progression mechanics
The Techmarine is a long-awaited class that studies the way of ancient machines to aid them in the battle. They’ll come equipped with a special weapon: the Omnissiah Axe.
Year 2’s first two DLCs: the Black Templars Champion Pack and Imperial Fists Cosmetic Pack, will include a new Champion skin for the Bulwark class and Power Sword skin, and over 40 new cosmetics celebrating 7 of the Imperial Fists’ Successor Chapters for the latter. There will be nine, yep, nine DLCs throughout Year 2.
In June, developer Saber Interactive announced that Space Marine 2 had sold seven million copies. So of course, Space Marine 3 is on the way. But they’re giving this shooter’s faithful audience a whole lot of love and content before we get there.
Space Marine 2 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The anniversary update is free on all platforms.
