Finally, after years of waiting, Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War 4 brings the classic 40k RTS series back to life. And new developer KING Art Games is delivering just what fans have been asking for: a return to the classic base building and epic army clashes of the original Dawn of War. IGN has played a mission at gamescom 2025, taking command of the Blood Raven Space Marines, and we’re impressed with how authentic this Games Workshop strategy game feels.
Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War 4 will launch in 2026 with four narrative campaigns, one for each faction – Space Marines, Orks, Necrons, and Adeptus Mechanicus. It will also feature co-op and multiplayer modes, including the return of fan-favourite Last Stand mode.
