It’s time to check in on these Games Workshop Rumor Engines from August 2024 and see what became of them!
Oh boy this one got away from me. So yes, we’re in September already and after doing the Rumor Engine from today I realized that I missed doing this back in August. Oops. My bad. So I’m here to correct that and check in on these past Rumor Engines from last year. At this point these are all over a year old so GW must of revealed them by now, right? RIGHT?!!? Let’s find out.
The Skull Cage – August 6, 2024
Status: Solved
This cage of skulls belongs to the Khorne Warband from Warhammer: Underworlds – Kamadora’s Blades. And yes, I still think those grimaces on their faces are unappealing. I have seen some other paint jobs that make them look better…but still not for me.
Mechanical Manipulator – August 13, 2024
Status: Solved
This servo-arm belonged to one of the thralls from the Adeptus Mechanicus Battleclade Kill Team.
Staff or Stick – August 20, 2024
Status: Solved

Turns out this was neither a stick nor a staff. It was some sort of sensor for the Memnyr Strategist from the Leagues of Votann that was shown off at the Big Summer Preview. I mean, the Memnyr Strategist is kind of like a wizard…
Crystal Blade – August 27, 2024
Status: Solved
This sharp looking blade is the property of the Thrice-Eaten Buri Aegnirssen. It’s still holding that edge and he’s still holding a grudge against the Tyranids!
Well, that’s all the Rumor Engines from August of 2024. Again, my apologies for being so late on this one. Hopefully we won’t have to wait a year and a couple weeks to find out what happened to the ones from August 2025!

Now, to set a reminder to do September 2024’s check-in before the end of the month…
