Warhammer Next Week: Underworld Spitewood, Old World Undead, And Imperialis Combat Force Boxes

September 29, 2025

Next week is all about Warhammer Underworld’s new season, set in the Spitewood, where even the trees bear grudges.

Three big waves of releases for next week’s pre-orders. First up, the groves of the Spitewood for Warhammer Underworlds as we move into a whole new territory, full of the Helsmiths of Hashut vs. Kurnoth’s Heralds. Plus some individual warband releases. The Old World sees the War of Settra’s Fury Arcane Journal released, and undead powers grow. Finally, Legions Imperialis gets some apocalyptic new combat force boxes.

All this, next week!

Warhammer Underworlds

It all kicks off with the release of Warhammer Underworld’s latest edition: Spitewood. This is a big new expansion to kick things off, complete with two new warbands, a double-sided game board, and all the warscroll and fighter cards you need for your new minis.

Leading the charge are Kurnoth’s Heralds, who defend the deep forests of the Spitewood from the vengeful fires of the Helsmiths of Hashut. Nature vs. Industrialization with a hefty dose of Chaos thrown in the mix.

The Helsmiths pack a pretty distant punch as well. Alongside the new stuff, you also get two Rivals Decks – the only thing the box doesn’t have is a copy of Underworlds: Embergard.

Alongside the new expansion are four new bundle boxes, each of which contains extant Warbands grouped by Grand Alliance. In the Order box, you get Xandire’s Truthseekers, the Shadeborn, Elthain’s Soulraid, and the Starblood Stalkers, pictured above.

Meanwhile, those of you who favor the ruinous powers can get your hands on the the Gnarlspirit Pack, Skittershank’s Clawpack, the Thricefold Discord, and the Wurmspat.

The servants of Nagash come in many flavors. In the Death bundle, there are the Exiled Dead, the Sons of Velmorn, the Skinnkerkin, and the Thorns of the Briar Queen.

Finally, the Destruction box contains the Hrothgorn’s Mantrappers, Rippa’s Snarlfangs, Mollog’s Mob, and Zarbag’s Gitz.

Settra’s Fury

Meanwhile in the Old World, Settra takes the center stage with a new Arcane Journal for the march of Settra the Imperishable as he goes towards Bretonnia. Inside the Arcane Journal: The War of Settra’s Fury you’ll find background lore on the war between the Border Princes, as well as rules for a new mode of play, Tomb Kings’ monstrous mounts, and two Armies of Infamy: the Renegade Crowns for the Empire of Man, and the Slayer Host for the Dwarfen Mountain Holds.

The Liche Priests of the Tomb Kings are also here with some gorgeous new plastic minis. You get two plastic Priests, on one foot and one on barded skeletal steed.

And supplement your forces with the Royal Heralds, who bolster the glory of the undead legions. You get a Tomb Prince and Royal Herald with skeletal steed option, and a variety of weapon and shield pairings.
