SEGA and The Creative Assembly Limited have announced Tides of Torment, the next major DLC for Total War: WARHAMMER III, launching on December 4, 2025. The upcoming content pack celebrates the finale of Total War’s 25th anniversary. It introduces new Legendary Lords, factions, and storylines that will reshape the Immortal Empires campaign.
A New Tide of Chaos Rises
Tides of Torment unleashes three new Legendary Lords, each bringing distinct armies and playstyles to the battlefield. These commanders represent the High Elves, Slaanesh, and Norsca, and each introduces fresh campaign mechanics and lore-driven narratives.
The expansion also deepens strategic gameplay. Players can now experience intense new battles inspired by the forces of the sea, the excesses of Slaanesh, and the brutality of the north. As a result, the DLC promises to expand both tactical and narrative depth for WARHAMMER III fans.
Celebrating 25 Years of Total War
To commemorate this milestone, SEGA and Creative Assembly will host a 25th Anniversary Showcase Stream. The event will reveal new insights into the series’ future, including commentary from the development team and updates on upcoming fantasy and historical Total War projects.

Free Content Update: Patch 7.0
Launching alongside Tides of Torment, Patch 7.0 adds free content for all Total War: WARHAMMER III players. The highlight is The Masque of Slaanesh, a new Legendary Lord who leads the decadent followers of Slaanesh in a campaign filled with intrigue and temptation.
In addition, factions such as the High Elves, Slaanesh, and Norsca will receive significant updates. These include gameplay reworks and balance improvements aimed at modernizing older content. With these refinements, both newcomers and long-time fans can look forward to a more cohesive and exciting campaign experience.
