Captain Titus is back! And a captain, once again as the new year kicks off with a big new narrative expansion for Warhammer 40K.
Warhammer 40K kicks off 2026 with an exciting new narrative expansion – 500 Worlds: Titus – The Battle For Unity Begins. And a new expansion means new models, including a new batch of Captain Titus and the Wardens of Ultramar, a terrifying new Necron horror, and an amazing new Shard of the Nightbringer. All of which you can sign up to get your grubby little paws on next week.
Captain Titus And The 500 Worlds – 40K’s Next Big Storyline

It all kicks off with a new narrative expansion titled 500 Worlds: Titus – The Battle For Unity Begins, which is a mouthful, sure, but it’s a mouthful that actually fits into a mouth, much like the brick of tiny d6s you’ll use to resolve all the attacks you’ll make over the course of this campaign. Admit it, you’ve thought about how it would feel to put all those dice in your mouth and spit them out one by one for your shooting phase. It’s okay, it’s 2026, time to live your life.
Anyway, the premise here is that none other than the Primarch of the Ultramarines, Roboute Guilliman, has tasked Captain Demetrian Titus with unifying the 500 Worlds of Ultramar. A daunting task on its own – but then you factor in Necrons. They turn up everywhere, don’t they?

This expansion comes with four books: an 80 page lore booklet; a book of rules for Boarding Actions games set in the 500 Worlds campaign, with extra rules adaptations, 12 new missions, and two new Detachments; a “map campaign” book with rules for the Vespator front; and of course the 16 pages that will prove to be the most popular, the book of Titus Detachments. Inside you’ll find rules for the Orbital Assault Force, Bastion Task Force, and Reclamation Force for Space Marines, and the Pantheon of Woe, Cursed Legion, and Cryptek Conclave for Necrons.

But what is a new expansion without miniatures to back it up? Start the new year with a new you. Or at least a new Captain Demetrian titus and the Wardens of Ultramar. In this kit you’ll get the new Titus, pus Veteran Sergeant Metaurus, Ancient Gadriel, Lucia Vestha, Dainal Kornelius, Gaius Silva, and Aemelia Minervas.

Or face down/unleash a horrifying new Nekron, the Nekrosor Ammentar. This is a Necron murder-platform that has been customized excessively for the purpose of killing organic life-forms. It has bladed limbs, a serpentine tail, and wields something called “The Unmaker Gauntlet.” Also it is amassing an army of fanatically loyal Necrons (many inflicted with the Destroyer curse) and is set to invade Ultramar. Fun.

Speaking of a terrifying army of Destroyer-cursed Necrons, that’s exactly what you can pick up in the new 500 Worlds Battalion: Necrons boxed set. You’ll get a cllection of Destroyer Cult Necrons comprising: a Hexmark Destroyer, two Lokhust Heavy Destroyers, three Skorpekh Destroyers and Plasmacyte, and three Ophydian Destroyers and Plasmacyte. What a terrifying new core you can make with these, and they slot right into the new Cursed Legion Detachment rules, too.

Of course if you really want to unleash the terror of the Necrons, you should go with the new C’tan Shard of the Nightbringer model. The imprisoned remnants of a star-killing deity have never looked so majestic. Look for updated rules soon!

Stay ahead of the other Space Marine Chapters with a new kit of Space Marine Heads, giving you 15 helmeted heads, 30 unhelmeted heads, two Terminator heads with helmet, and two Terminator heads without.

Finally with all the new Boarding Actions you’ll be able to play thanks to the 500 Worlds: Titus – The Battle for Unity Begins expansion, you may as well grab the new Boarding Actions terrain set that comes with Necron tomb and/or Voidship corridors. Perfect for all that close-in fighting you’ll be doing.
Captain Titus would liberate 500 worlds, and Captain Titus would liberate 500 more, just to be the Captain Titus that conquered a thousand worlds to fall down at your door!
