D&D: Pre-Orders Open For Wizkids “Life-Sized” Displacer Beast Kitten

January 19, 2026

WizKids has opened pre-orders for its latest “Replica of the Realms,” a cute, betentacled Displacer Beast Kitten.

No guarantees that WizKids’ latest offering will sit exactly where you think it is – because the latest in the Replica of the Realms series is none other than a purrfectly adorable Displacer Beast Kitten. Modeled after the deadly predators that use illusion to help them hunt, this captures a much cuter (though still deadly to commoners) version. And it’s available for pre-order now!

Replicas of the Realms: Displacer Beast Kitten “Life-Sized Figure”

Of all the “life-size” replicas that WizKids has done, this is the one that probably has the closest “life” analogue. Because, sure, displacer beasts don’t actually exist, but kittens do. Even panther kittens, which are the closest model for displacer beasts. Probably?

I can’t say for sure. But I can say that WizKids’ displacer beast kitten weighs in at over 10.5″ long. It’s made of soft, hand-painted foam. And is, according to WizKids, “incredibly lifelike.”

They know their audience

For me, it’s the eyes, really. And the pose. I mean, whoever made this clearly knows what it’s like to try to be getting some work done at your keyboard before feeling a presence at the back of your neck. You look up, and there it is, your cat, boring through your very soul with its gaze. A sign you’re two seconds away from either being pounced at or snuggled. Or, depending on how many brain cells your cat has, watching them trip over their own feet and then hork up something unmentionable with guileless gless.

Which begs the question, do displacer beasts have hairballs? They must, right? Or do they groom themselves with their tentacle pads? Although since displacer beasts are known to prey on all sorts of creatures, even humanoids, they probably still have hairballs, it’s just someone else’s.

I guess it’s a testament to how lifelike this statue is that it has me thinking more about displacer beasts and their, erm, practical considerations than I ever have. Take that as you will. But you can pre-order the statue at the link below! They are due for release on January 21st, so you don’t have too long to wait.

A Displacer Beast Kitten probably has way more fun with a laser pointer, though!
