Age of Sigmar: Idoneth Deepkin New Characters Confirmed

July 6, 2025

The Ikons of the sea and storm have been confirmed by Games Workshop. Those new Idoneth Deepkin characters are coming soon.

Last week we noted that Games Workshop had hidden a few new Idoneth Deepkin Characters in plain sight. Well today GW has confirmed them with proper introductions. Let’s meet the new Ikons coming with to join the Idoneth Deepkin Warhammer Community previewed today.

“Sadly, the beaches of the Mortal Realms aren’t the safest of places for a holiday. Innumerable unseen horrors lurk in the briny depths – and what’s that we’ve caught with our patented soulbait? Why, it’s an extremely perturbed Akhelian…”

Ikons of the Idoneth Deepkin

First up we have the new Ikon of the Sea. This is an Akhelian that brings the fury of the sea with them into battle. In fact, that sea surge isn’t just there on the base for decoration — that’s representative of one of their abilities:

It’s worth noting that GW also mentioned that the Ikon of the Sea will have an ability that also allows them to run and charge at will. So we’ll have to wait to see that one in action on the tabletop.

The other Ikon coming is the Ikon of the Storm. They are bringing a pair of Maelstrom blades and the power of the Whirlpool at their service.

From the looks of things, this Ikon will be able to control who can leave combats they are involved with. That could be quite handy for setting up a charge after a retreat move — flowing in and out like the tides!

More Characters Still Unconfirmed

Now, if you’re paying close attention you’ll notice that these two Ikons are using the same base. In fact it seems like these two are mostly just a head/weapon swap difference. From the image above we know there’s at least one other character on the way as well as that massive wave monster.

So keep your eye open because the ethersea isn’t giving up all its secrets just yet. We’ll be watching for more!

The Idoneth Deepkin are coming very soon from Games Workshop. And more characters are in tow.
