Whether you’re into collectibles, action figures, or board games, there are a ton of D&D toys out there to collect between game sessions.
Sure, we all love playing D&D. But let’s be honest, we also love games (and toys) that feel a lot like D&D, even if they aren’t technically rolling dice and telling stories.
Green Dragon Plush
One of the most classic kinds of toy you can pick up is a good old-fashioned plushie. You can claim you’ve outgrown them, but c’mon. Personally, I periodically “buy one of my kids” a plushie. There are a ton of D&D toys and dolls out there. So from mimics to beholders to displacer beasts, there’s a D&D plush for you. This one is a green dragon, but I’m sure you’ll find the perfect huggable friend to adopt. Or “buy for someone else.”
Die-Cast Metal Figures

Something about these sets are undeniably nostalgic. The adventurer and monster figures look like they stepped out of a classic D&D book and remind me of the milk crates full of random little plastic figures from my childhood. Only now the paint is a little nicer and I wouldn’t drop them in the random figure bin with oh-so-many Power Rangers. Sure to be a blast from the past, this set would look great wherever your RPGs are played. And, if you’re ever in need of an emergency mini, they’ll fit right in.
Dragon Fidget
Need something to keep your hands busy while you’re waiting for other players to complete their turn? Maybe a kiddo in your life needs something tactile to stay focused? These dragons come in a bunch of different chromatic colors and include their own storage egg, so they stay safe in a game bag or backpack. They also have extra sturdy joints to stand up to regular use.
Reversible Plushies
You’ve probably seen those adorable reversible octopus plushies. They’re happy and cute in one direction, and when you pop the plushie inside out they reveal an equally cute grumpy face. This mystery box is the same idea, but with D&D monsters. Will they be happy and fun, or ready to attack? You could get a mimic, kobold, mind flayer, displacer beast, owlbear, or a almiraj.
5 Minute Dungeon
If you want to play a little D&D, but don’t have very much free time, you’ll be able to get through this entire dungeon with just five minutes and a little teamwork. Two to five players age 8+ can work through six different adventures and bosses in a game that’s fast paced and fast to play. This is a game with expansions, but even without them there is a ton of replicability. And with super easy rules, you can introduce this game to everyone and anyone
(Foam) Excalibur
No matter how old you are, foam weapons are awesome. Nerf guns and blasters? Perfection, no notes. But sometimes you want to be a little more melee in your adventures and get something a little more close quarters in the mix. For that, a foam replica of Excalibur is about to become your new favorite foam weapon. This isn’t exactly a D&D toy, but if you can use it to dress up like your character, I think it counts.
Do you already own any of these or any other D&D toys? What is your favorite that you’ve collected so far? Will you be adding any of my picks today to your collection in the near future? Let us know in the comments!
Happy adventuring!
