New Official Lord of the Rings Dice Will Bring Iconic Characters & Locations to Your Dice Hoard

March 3, 2026

Chances are, if you dabble in tabletop roleplaying games, you have at least a few sets of dice lying around. Many D&D players and tabletop enthusiasts, myself included, amass dragon-like dice hoards. It’s hard not to, when there always seems to be a shiny new dice set headed to shelves. Not long ago, Sirius Dice unleashed a Baldur’s Gate 3-themed set of mystery packs. Now, the tabletop accessory company is partnering with asmodee and Middle-earth Enterprises for a whole lineup of officially licensed Lord of the Rings tabletop goodies.

The Lord of the Rings has long had a place in tabletop gaming. From TTRPGs like The One Ring to newer entries like the upcoming Foes of Middle-earth, there’s no shortage of ways to step into Middle-earth via tabletop gaming. And now, whether you’re playing a Lord of the Rings TTRPG or not, you can roll with your favorite characters, moments, and places from Tolkien’s trilogy. This epic new partnership will release its first products this September, just in time for the Dungeons & Dragons Season of Magic.

So, what can we expect from this new partnership? Sirius will be releasing a line of officially licensed The Lord of the Rings accessories for tabletop gaming. Naturally, this will include more of their beloved Treasure Packs. These blind packs will feature collectible items alongside oversized d20s inspired by various Lord of the Rings characters. We don’t yet have product images or details for these, as they’re slated to arrive in January 2027. But I am already setting my hopes on a nice Samwise Gamgee-themed D20 for my hoard. I got to check out some of their Baldur’s Gate 3 Treasure Packs, and I came away impressed with the quality and designs of the oversized d20s. It’s safe to say the Lord of the Rings ones will have a similar lineup of stunning designs on offer.

Before the Treasure Packs, Sirius, asmodee, and Middle-earth Enterprises are also bringing us a lineup of The Lord of the Rings Adventure Dice. Typically, these sets from Sirius include the standard array of 7 TTRPG dice used in most D20-based systems. Previous lines have featured other big IPs like Stranger Things and plenty of officially licensed D&D products.

The Lord of the Rings adventure dice sets will highlight “iconic characters, symbols, and moments from Middle-earth.” The full lineup hasn’t yet been revealed, but I think we can place some reasonable bets that at least a good number of the Fellowship will get themed dice. These official Lord of the Rings adventure dice are set to release in September, so it’s not too long to wait.

For now, the Treasure Packs and Adventure Dice are the only confirmed products from this new partnership. However, the press release notes that “additional product announcements, previews, and release details will be shared in the coming months.” So, it’s safe to say there may well be some other official Lord of the Rings tabletop accessories headed our way in the near future, thanks to this licensing agreement. For now, you can get a sense of what prior officially licensed dice and tabletop accessories from Sirius have brought to the table at their official website.
