You’ve assembled a party of adventurers and you’re ready to slay some monsters… But alas, where’s your Dungeon Master?
A game of Dungeons & Dragons doesn’t happen without a skilled Dungeon Master at its helm – and a Perth local is shaking up tabletop RPGs with a new platform that connects experienced Dungeon Masters with players.
”We saw a lot of opportunity to make the process better for all parties,” explains Dungeonmasters founder Simon Holland.
“Good DMs work extremely hard to make exceptional experiences for their players. By creating a free market we allow players to access these skills, with the Dungeon Masters rewarded for their efforts.”

Dungeonmasters allows players to browse professional and semi-professional DMs by location, rating, price and campaign style – including beginner-friendly one-shots, or ongoing multi-week campaigns for experienced players – and book online or in-person sessions starting at just $10 per seat.
This also means that solo players can join public sessions without needing to assemble a full party of players – and first-timers can get involved with an experienced DM showing them the ropes.
“A real positive we are seeing is the appeal to the neurodiverse community,” adds Holland.
“There’s a lot going on in D&D and a skilled DM can really adapt the experience to the needs of the individuals. You’re going to see qualified Dungeon Masters with real expertise in this area using D&D to connect with an audience and create opportunities for meaningful connections and interactions.”
“People are increasingly looking for ways to de-screen and enjoy time with shared activities with other people. We’re just seeing such rich and rewarding experiences by getting together with other people and forming genuine friendships through shared experience.”
DMs can create their own verified profile, campaign listings and set their own prices – and even offer their own extras like custom 3D printed miniatures. Plans are also in motion to create a DM Academy, where players can become Dungeonmaster-accredited DMs, as well as offerings like corporate team-building events.
“D&D in an incredibly creative platform.”
“It can be adapted to almost any theme from going to school to epic fantasy – if you can write a book about a topic, you could probably run a D&D campaign about it.”
“Traditionally D&D is high fantasy but we are increasingly seeing themes such as gothic suspense, politics and intrigue, murder mystery et cetera. You could even tune it to real world situations for educational purposes.”
