Many might assume that Warhammer is a franchise where the only visual spectacles to witness are the iconic Adeptus Astartes and their acts of heroism and sacrifice. But veterans know that the Titans of the franchise are truly biblical to learn about.
And since Henry Cavill has taken it upon himself to bring the grimdark world of Warhammer 40,000 into live-action in association with Prime Video, we hope that these mechanical behemoths will be brought to the series. Thus, here are all the titans from every faction we can expect to be brought to life.
One of the oldest and most revered military divisions of the Adeptus Mechanicus, the Collegia Titanica, controls and operates the Imperium’s most powerful war engines known as the Titans.
Their reverence germinates from the god-like machines of war they operate and maintain, which also serve as a bastion of mankind’s strength and superiority. Below are the classes and sub-classes of Titans under their command:
Starting off with the smallest of the bunch, the value of the Scout Titans, as the name suggests, comes from their unrivalled capability to scout the battlefield and do so with minimal engagement. These are usually around 14 meters tall and sparsely laden with firepower.
But this comes as their strength, which is reconnaissance and extraction of vital battlefield information. The lack of heavy armour and excessive firepower means they can weave through enemy ranks with relative ease, while also creating exploitative chinks in enemy formations and machines as support.
The most common Scout Titan is the Warhound-Class Titan.
3. Battle Titans

These are the type of God Engines that are called when serious damage needs to be dealt to the enemy, and true to their name, they are always ready for it. They are specially designed to take a lot of damage in a frontal assault, which means they are specifically armoured in key areas, and in excess as well.
They are also more heavily armed than their smaller cousins, as they operate to destroy the frontlines with heavy fire of shells and imperial ordinance. This class has 2 sub-classes that take the field and decimate their enemies. These are:
1. Reaver-Class Battle Titan
These titans focus on head-on formation disruptions, who can take damage and dish it out with double the impact. They are usually around 25-26 meters tall and are placed at the front in an open battlefield with the shock troops.
2. Nemesis Warbringer-Class Titan
These types of Titans don’t have much info on them since they have very specific use cases, which means they are rarely deployed. While being slightly larger than the Reaver-Class, they have similar physical builds and armour, but are laden with more firepower than the other class.
Mainly, the quake cannons, which are generally seen on Warlord-Class Titans. can also be strapped to Nemesis Warbringer-Class Titan, making them less reactionary, but highly lethal.
2. Warlord Titans

One of the most devastating marvels of the Mechanicus’ creation, the Warlord Titans are considered to be personifications of the Machine God’s will. These hulking giants are relatively the biggest of the God Engines that anyone will have the misfortune of witnessing on a battlefield.
During sieges and frontal assaults, when extremely heavy firepower is needed, a Warlord Titan is sent to first blow away the morale of the enemy, and then the enemy itself. It boasts some of the most destructive armaments on its carapace, like the nightmarish volcano cannon and macro-gatling guns.
There are mainly two types of Warlord Titans:
1. Standard Warlord-Class Titans
The standard Titans of this class are the ones that are commonly deployed because of their excessively heavy armour in key areas of up to 600 millimeters thick, with anti-air defence turrets and guns for complete protection. Their defences also include the void shields as added assurance.
Along with that, they have 4 mounts of titan-class weapon eligibility, which include quake and volcano cannons to ensure complete and utter destruction. These titans are usually 33-35 meters in height, towering over their cousins by a significant margin.
2. Warlord-Sinister (Psy-Titan)
One of the rare and extremely unique varieties of the Warlord-Class, this Titan, on top of having all the features and abilities of a standard, is utterly terrifying because of its ability to mentally break the enemy without engaging.
Laden with archaic tech from the dark age of technology, this Titan possesses a Culexus psi-reactor. Along with a psyker on board, it can create a giant field of telepathic fear and anxiety on a scale that would mentally destroy entire armies on the battlefield while boosting the performance of its allies.
1. Emperor Titans

Commonly called ‘Walking Churches’, these unfathomable giants are the biggest God Engines that are employed by the Collegia Titanica. To see one on the battlefield is to witness devastation that can level cities to nothing but rubble within an instant.
These titans are more of a myth in many ways since they are just a handful in number, and are only deployed when entire worlds need to witness the sheer military might of the Imperium. They are also iconic because almost all of them can be seen carrying entire cathedrals on their back.
They stand up to an eye-watering 150 meters in length, making other war engines look like ants among them, and boast double-digit void shields on top of the thickest armour on a Titan’s carapace. The two types of Emperor Titans are:
1. Imperator-Class Emperor Titan
This variant of the Emperor-Class is used primarily as a mobile fortress on the battlefield, giving its occupants a vantage point for scouting and strategizing without moving.
Along with that, it’s fortified enough to survive a carpet-bombing of nuclear warheads and keep marching unbothered, thanks to almost 12 void shields and thick armour on the body, complementing numerous defence armaments, which are more than many planetary defence systems.
Along with that, this Titan gets the Imperium’s biggest and most devastating weapons placed on several mounting points on its body, which involves nightmares like plasma annihilators, hellstorm cannons, and numerous secondary gun turrets.
2. Warmonger-Class Emperor Titan
As if the walking God Engine of destruction given form, this class is a walking apocalypse that cannot be defeated. Every single weapon on its body is devastation personified, which is deployed when entire planets need to be leveled under the Imperium’s wrath.
While equally well-protected, the Warmonger-Class Emperor Titan’s main objective is destruction on an unimaginable scale. Thus, mixed with its extremely precise and long-range weaponry, it can turn the tides of war unlike anything.
| Titan Class | Height |
| Scout Titans | 12-14 meters |
| Battle Titans | 25-28 meters |
| Warlord Titans | 33-35 meters |
| Emperor Titans | Up to 150 meters |
2 Chaos Titans: Dark Mechanicum and Traitor Titan Legions

Coming to the Chaos Factions of the Adeptus Astartes, these corrupted Space Marines and their warring allies also boast all the same types of Titans that their loyalist counterparts possess.
But in addition, thanks to the Dark Mechanicum’s ingenuity and the blessings of Chaos, they have also created abominations of these Titans, which are called Demon Engines. There are several types of these war engines listed below.
Deamon Engines/Warp Titans

These are the Titans that were once loyal to the Imperium and to the Emperor’s will. But now, they are nothing more than mutated abominations of their past self as they have soaked in the energies of Chaos and The Warp. The types of Deamon Engines usually talked about are:
1. Hellforged Titans
These abominations are the twisted creations of the Dark Mechanicum, who have experimented with demonic entities over several millennia to fuse Titans with daemons of The Warp, turning them into twisted, semi-living monstrosities.
These entities live their wretched, miserable lives as both machine and demon, while at the same time, as neither. These can be any of the Titan classes from their loyalist counterparts, usually like Scout and Battle Titans.
2. Aetheric Engines
Aetheric Engines are Warp-enhanced technologies integrated into Chaos Titans, especially among those still semi-functional or partially damaged. These use the mystical powers of the Warp to make their Titans even stronger and more diabolical through sorcery and ingenuity.
3 Eldar Titans: Craftworld Aeldari and Corsairs

Coming to one of the oldest and most psychically gifted races in the galaxy of the 41st Millennium. The Eldars also boast of Titan technologies that rival those of the Imperium of Man. Again, there are different classes of Eldar Titans, which are listed below.
3. Revenant-Class Titan

The counterpart to the Imperial Scout Titan, the Revenant-Class Titan is the reconnaissance and support specialist on the battlefield, which is also less armoured but more agile in its movement. In fact, it’s more agile than the Imperial Scout as it has Jump Jets, which makes it possible to make evasive maneuvers in the air as well
This Titan is usually armed with twin pulsars and psychic sonic lances for a lighter payload and more support capabilities.
2. Phantom-Class Titan

The main battle war machine of the Craftworlders, the Phantom-Class Titan is a bigger, more armour-rich battle machine, similar to that of an Imperial Battle Titan. Only this time, it too ditches super-heavy armour for agility in comparison to its Imperial version.
This is done so because the Eldar have created these war machines with elegance and the use of superior movements in mind. Thus, what it lacks in defences, it makes up for with blazing speed and psychic weaponry.
This titan is also armed with the terrifying Distortion Cannons, which manipulate space-time to obliterate matter, along with the usual twin pulsars and heat lances.
1. Warlock-Class Titan

Extrapolating the psychic might of the Eldars, the Warlock-Class Titan is a special Psy-Titan that is the pinnacle of the race’s creative marvel. These Titans are similar to their Phantom-Class cousins, but pack an even greater punch through psychically linking with the Farseers or Warlocks of the race.
This war machine can channel battlefield-wide psychic powers to boost the morale and performance of nearby Eldar units while nullifying the powers of enemy psykers without much effort, dishing out heavy psychic offence in tandem.
| Titan Class | Height |
| Revenant-Class Titan | 12-15 meters |
| Phantom-Class Titan | 30+ meters |
| Warlock-Class Titan | 30+ meters |
4 Gargants and Stompas: Orks

When it comes to the expression of unrestricted brutality at the most absurd and over-the-top level, the Orks can’t see themselves being undone by the ‘Umies’ and the ‘Panzees’. Thus, these war-hungry xenos have developed their own versions of Titans through the power of belief and personality.
The two different variants of these are listed below.
2. Stompa

Equivalent to an Imperial Reaver-Class Titan, the Stompa is a marvel of Orky engineering, specifically made to mow down hordes of enemies beneath its feet. This Titan is also armed with patented Ork weaponry like giant cannons, energy weapons, Supa shootas, and Mega Choppas, most of the time.
But, it wouldn’t be the Orky way if it couldn’t find ‘Da Loot’ from their enemies, which is why one of its variants, called the Looted Stompa, is specially made to salvage the wreckage for some shinies.
1. Gargant

The biggest expression of the Orky way of life, the Gargant is truly a sight to behold, until it decimates you. These walking monstrosities can rival Imperial Warlords, and in almost mythical cases, Emperor Titans. In fact, it’s been recorded that the Mega-Gargant variants, the biggest in existence, can carry smaller Gargants and Stompas within them.
These Titans are armed to the teeth with the loudest, most flashy Ork armaments that these green menaces can possibly fit. These weapons include the Supa-Kannon, Giga-Rokkit, flamethrowers, and Power Klaws, just to name a few.
| Titan Class | Height |
| Stompa | 10-15 meters |
| Gargant | 20-40+ meters |
5 Bio-Titans: Tyranids

The lifeforms whose sole purpose is the eradication of all biomass in the galaxy through ungodly powers of adaptability, the Tyranids, over the years, have developed their own Bio-Titans to counter the war machines of other factions.
The most prominent variants of these nightmarish space locusts’ gigantic bio-forms are listed below.
3. Hierodule

Coming straight from hell in both Scythed and Barbed versions, the Heirodule is a Tyranid lifeform similar to an Imperial Scout, but with twice the aggression and ten times the weaponry. This organism uses bio-acid spray and live ammunition of skin-tearing bugs to burrow through its victim’s flesh.
This is one of the smallest of the Bio-Titans, which is deployed as a shock trooper to give the enemy frontline an excruciatingly painful death.
2. Hierophant

Having a similar role to an Imperial Reaver, the Heirophant is a similarly-sized Bio-Titan that is on the frontlines as a shield and a dagger against enemy Titans. Armed with long, spindly limbs that act as a serrated whip, this Bio-Titan has enhanced healing capabilities for itself until it’s completely destroyed.
In addition, its speed is something that a creature of its size should not possess, as it has been observed to outmaneuver Scout Titans despite being larger in size.
1. Harridan

Coming in as the dreaded flying Titan unit, the Harridan Bio-Titan is the answer of the Tyranids to aerial war vessels. These creatures stalk the skies to keep the hive away from aerial bombardment and/or assault. They also act as bombers to drop troops on enemy fortifications from above.
They are basically aerial defence units with logistic implications that can also fly in and shock enemy troops, but are extremely vulnerable to attacks due to reduced armour for better movement.
| Titan Class | Height |
| Hierodule | 10-12 meters |
| Hierophant | 20-25 meters |
| Harridan | Upwards of 25 meters |
