Pathfinder gets ready to roll out a new Beginner Box: Secrets of the Unlit Star, which includes a new solo adventure.
Get ready for a new wave of adventure as Pathfinder gears up for a new Beginner Box. A good beginner’s box is a great on-ramp into a game, and Paizo looks to be locking in even more new players with the upcoming Secrets of the Unlit Star. This new Beginner Box is a huge, chunky box full of paperboard monsters, dice, battlemaps, rules for GMs and Players. Everything you need to not just play the game, but get a taste of what Pathfinder is like in its ideal form.

Seriously, this one is set to go all-in on the Lost Omens era of Pathfinder. It’s not just the setting, it’s the rules too. This box comes with two booklets, one for players and one for GMs. In the 72-page player book, you’ll find what you need to make a character, including all the spells, equipment, and other stuff you need to create your first character and take them on the adventure.
Speaking of which, the player’s book also includes a new solo adventure. And this is a great addition for people looking to learn the game. Solo adventure design has come a long way over the last decade. A good solo adventure can teach you the rules of the game by actually playing through it.
