Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have launched a time-limited free demo for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, available now across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 demo runs until October 20 on consoles and October 23 on Steam, giving players access to a slice of each game mode. You’ll get the campaign intro and first mission, three Operations (Inferno, Decapitation, and Vox Liberatis), and all Eternal War modes except the new Helbrute Onslaught.
The real hook here is progression carry-over. Any unlocks, rewards, or cosmetics you earn during the demo transfer straight to the full game if you decide to buy it. Speaking of which, Focus is running discounts of up to 50 per cent across all editions, DLCs, and Season Passes while the demo is live.
There’s also a Discord Quest running for the demo period. Link your Discord, PROS, and Steam accounts to earn an exclusive Porphyr Shield Bolt Rifle skin. It’s a nice little bonus if you’re already planning to dive in.
Space Marine 2 launched back in September to strong reviews, praised for its meaty combat and surprisingly robust co-op Operations mode. The game’s been regularly updated since launch, with new PvE and PvP content keeping the player base engaged.

If you’ve been on the fence about Space Marine 2, this is a solid chance to try before you buy. The demo gives you enough content to get a proper feel for the combat loop without the usual restrictions of timed trials or locked progression. Plus, with those discounts running alongside it, Focus is clearly trying to pull in anyone who’s Space Marine-curious.
