Recent announcements for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 have revealed the game’s Year 2 roadmap, including new modes, a fresh class, and cosmetic packages for players to enjoy. However, one Chapter of Space Marines is deliberately hidden, listed as [REDACTED] on the roadmap itself. While this is intended to be a mystery, I believe I know which Chapter the game will highlight in the future.
The Year 2 roadmap for Space Marine 2 includes nine different Champion Packs for various Space Marine Chapters featured within the game. Champion Packs are usually free cosmetic bundles that tend to include unique skins for a class or weapon. As of right now, eight of the nine revealed Champion Packs are associated with known Chapters, but only one remains classified until 2026.
Space Marine 2 Is Totally Adding Blood Ravens
The Release Of Another Warhammer 40K Game Lines Up With The Roadmap
Out of all the many available Space Marine Chapters in the game that could get a Champion Pack, the Loyalist Blood Ravens are the most likely. From what we know, the other Chapters already getting a Champion Pack within Year 2 are:
- Black Templars
- Imperial Fists
- Blood Angels
- Salamanders
- Raven Guard
- Carcharodons
- Iron Hands
- Raptors
The Blood Raven faction is shrouded in mystery, representing an elusive Chapter that guards mysterious knowledge and ancient lore. This Chapter’s armor customization in Space Marine 2 is already cool, with subdued red and gold that differentiates the group from the harsher crimsons of the Blood Angels.
Now, the Blood Ravens are an interesting Chapter, but many others are just as intriguing to get a Champion Pack. What makes me believe in the Blood Ravens is that the announcement of Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 4 reintroduces the Blood Ravens in an upcoming release in 2026.
The Dawn of War games feature several Warhammer 40k factions beyond just Space Marines. Players in these strategy games can control units from Eldar, Ork, Necron, or pure Chaos factions among others should they want to.
Based on the roadmap saying the [REDACTED] Champion’s Pack releases in Q2 2026, this may line up with a possible Dawn of War 4 release date. The Dawn of War series has only ever featured the Blood Ravens as the only playable Chapter from the Space Marines faction, so some cross-promotion between two Warhammer 40k games would make sense.
2026 Is An Exciting Year For Warhammer Fans
Two Different Games Offer Multiple Interesting Experiences
Dawn of War 4‘s intense strategic warfare offers a fresh experience within Warhammer 40k‘s universe, while Space Marine 2‘s continued content keeps giving players what they want. The inclusion of more Chapters, weapons, classes, modes, and Operation missions in Space Marine 2 will keep that game fresh, while a new one gives fans something different in the best way.
2026 aims to see new content for Space Marine 2 consistently drop, adding more to both its PvE and PvP modes. The multiplayer aspects of Space Marine 2 and Dawn of War 4 give players multiple ways to enjoy either game together, or even switch between them.
With Patches 10-15 already planned, there will be plenty of things to try throughout next year before Dawn of War 4 even comes out. With the huge amount of changes coming to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 for just the first two Quarters of 2026, it’s likely this game will receive support for a long time.
