Welcome to IGN’s tabletop guide. We have primarily reviewed board games over the years, but have started to cover more traditional tabletop RPGs as the space continues to grow. We’re also very active in the TCG space, with regular exclusive reveals of Magic the Gathering cards and previews of up-and-coming games like Lorcana.

Trading Card Games
There have been a lot of different trading card games in recent years, but IGN coverage is primarily focused on the two biggest ones: Magic the Gathering and Pokémon TCG. We’ve also been covering more Lorcana, which is the Disney-focused game that is fairly new to the scene.

Tabletop RPGs
We don’t cover many tabletop RPGs in-depth at IGN, but we have some great guides for anyone looking to get into it. We’ve got a wonderful Dungeons & Dragons guide for beginners that can get you started, as well as D&D-like board game recommendations that are a little more manageable for beginners. Though massive Campaign games like Gloomhaven might not be the easiest entry point for newcomers either.
Outside of board games, we’ve only really reviewed one Tabletop RPG. Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere RPG came out last year, and we had nothing but good things to say about it.
Puzzles
IGN has quite a few puzzle recommendations for anyone in the jigsaw community to enjoy, including what puzzle table you should buy.
