Warhammer 40,000 Creator Galactic Armory Receives Cease And Desist After Games Workshop Reveals Titus’ Space Marine 2 Helmet Replica

July 24, 2025

Yesterday we reported that the 1:1 scale Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Lieutenant Titus’ Mk X Helmet is available for pre-order on the Warhammer merch website. A wearable replica of Titus’ awesome helmet from the game, it gives you the Warhammer 40K fans the chance to dress up as an Ultramarine. However, it seems that Games Workshop doesn’t want you to buy similar helmets from anywhere else.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 Is Missing One Crucial Chapter, But The New Class Could Be The Perfect Time To Add It

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is bringing a new class to the game, and my favourite Chapter could come with it.

In lieu of the launch of this product, Warhammer owner Games Workshop has sent a cease and desist order to popular YouTuber Galactic Armory, who builds armor pieces and weapons from popular IPs such as Star Wars, Halo, and Warhammer 40K, along with providing 3D printing files to fans. Among their many creations is Titus’ helmet from Space Marine 2, along with various others for Chaplains and other 40K characters.

As spotted by VideoGamer, a video by Aaron on Galactic Armory’s YouTube page revealed that Game Workshop has sent a cease and desist order two days before the reveal of the official Space Marine 2 Lieutenant Titus’ Mk X Helmet. He explained that they were pretty surprised to receive it from a company that propagates DIY projects.

Due to the cease and desist, Galactic Armory has been forced to take down around 26 videos of armor sets, weapons, and other 40K related items and cancelled all future plans involving Warhammer 40K IP. However, he added that he has no ill will towards Games Workshop and that they are well within their rights to send the cease and desist.

Games Workshop Wants To Read Your Warhammer Fan Fiction

And possibly publish it, too.

The Warhammer community hasn’t been happy with Games Workshop for a while, and sending the cease and desist order to one of the IPs most popular creators hasn’t done them any favours. Arron added that had Games Workshop come to them with a licensing deal or something similar, Galactic Armory would have gladly jumped on the chance, but we know that’s not how the company works.

He revealed that in the absence of Warhammer 40K, Galactic Armory will work closer with another tabletop RPG called Trench Crusade. Other than that, the company is also working on a program which will help 3D printing files customize armor pieces to your body dimensions, as well as a board game which will be fully 3D printable.

It’s clear that the order was sent purely to ensure that more fans buy the official products rather than building it themselves, which was enabled by Galactic Armory sharing 3D printing files.
