Deep Silver and KING Art Games have given fans their first true look at Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV with a brand-new trailer captured entirely in-engine. Titled “Back to War,” the trailer showcases explosive RTS combat, cinematic spectacle, and the long-awaited return to Kronus, setting the stage for the next chapter in the legendary strategy series.
A Return to Kronus
The in-engine reveal brings players back to Kronus, years after the events of Dawn of War: Dark Crusade. The footage highlights sprawling battles where Space Marines clash with brutal Ork hordes, while the Adeptus Mechanicus lends its technological might to the fight.
But just as the tide of war begins to shift in favor of the Imperium, a new terror emerges: the Necrons, a relentless force threatening to consume everything in their path.
RTS Roots Restored
Longtime fans will be glad to hear that base building makes its return, a feature absent in recent entries. Paired with the Combat Director system, which drives large-scale cinematic battle animations, Dawn of War IV aims to deliver both the strategic depth and the visual intensity that defined the series.
