Games Workshop revealed a bunch of new Battleforces. Today we’re breaking down the pricing for the two Imperial options coming soon!
The new Battleforces coming this season are looking pretty great. At least if you’re looking to start any of these armies. GW did say these Battleforce Boxes would get you all of the miniature in them “at a lower price than buying them separately” which is great. What we don’t know is the exact price of these boxes. We also don’t know if they are going to be the same price across the board. With that in mind, I’m going to base the price of these on the latest one from the Drukhari which came in at $240. I think that these boxes are going to be pretty close to the $240-260 range. I’ll do a pricing array for the savings so we’ll have to see. With that said, let’s dive in.
Pricing Breakdown – Krieg Siege Platoon
Contents
Lord Commissar with a Krieg Command Squad $48
20x Death Korps of Krieg troopers $106
Combat Engineer Squad (5 Engineers plus remote mine) $48
Death Korps of Krieg transfer sheet ???
Total Individual MSRP $332
Estimated Savings:
- $240 = $92
- $260 = $72
- $280 = $52
Again, we don’t have a confirmation about the final pricing but I think that’s a pretty good gauge. I think the $240 price would be pretty sweet. That’s just a 30% discount which would be roughly in line with the Combat Patrols. Speaking of which, I do think this box would pair nicely with the Krieg Combat Patrol. I mentioned this in the other article but the only real overlap that might be an issue is the Command Squad. But having more Krieg troopers, heavy weapon teams, and some literal cavalry would be a good thing. I’m not sure why they didn’t swap the Command Squad out with Lord Marshal Dreir…but hey, what do I know?
Overall, I think it’s a solid core and worth snagging for new players. If you’re a veteran you probably already have most of these units. So unless you just really want to add more to your collection. If that’s the case, more power to you!

New Space Marine heads kit $???
2x Space Marine transfer sheets ??
2x Space Marine vehicle transfer sheets ??
Total Individual MSRP $322 + ???
Estimated Savings:
- $240 = $82
- $260 = $62
- $280 = $42
Now, I do want to mention the new Space Marine Heads and Helmet kit because we don’t know the price for that either. I’m guessing it’s going to be around the same as an upgrade pack or box of skulls. Then again, maybe it will be less than $35. Either way, let that factor into the Estimated savings, too.
As far as a good deal, I think this is a strong way to start a Space Marine Collection. It’s going to come down to the final price point for me though. All of these miniatures have been out for a while so, again, unless you’re just starting out there’s a good chance you probably have some of these. If you never bothered to get the new Company of Heroes kits or some of the other kits, this might also be worth it — again, depending on the price. I also think this should be a nice complement for the upcoming Ultramarines Combat Patrol. Or really in addition to any of the other Space Marine Combat Patrols. Depending on if you can use these units in your chapter (looking at you Space Wolves). Or maybe you can just convert them to fit in your chosen Space Marine Chapter. You do you.
It’s going to be very interesting to see what prices these new Battleforces come in at.
