Warhammer 40K: New Consolidated Faction Rules Now Available

October 8, 2025

Games Workshop has updated the downloads for your favorite faction in Warhammer 40,000. You can now get them all in one place.

Warhammer 40,000 has had a LOT of downloads for this edition. There’s faction packs, there’s Kill Team units, FAQs, and even Detachment Packs. Shoot, there’s probably even more depending on the specific faction you’re playing. Well, GW has cleaned up the downloads and consolidated those extra documents into a single one per faction. Hopefully, this makes it easier for players to find the rule they need.

“This means that all of the additional rules and clarifications that supplement your Codex, from extra Detachments and datasheets to FAQs and errata, will be contained in one handy pack. Each pack will have a contents page that will enable a quick lookup of the rules you’re looking for, and a colour-coded version change log that will keep you up to date with your faction while identifying changes at a glance”

Consolidated Faction Packs For 40k

The long and short of this is that if you’re playing 40k then you should have an easier time finding rule you’re looking for regarding anything that wasn’t in the codex.

Head over to the Warhammer 40,000 Downloads Section on WarCom for your Faction pack

Above are about half of the Faction Packs you can now donwload. Let’s take a quick look inside of one. We’ll go with the Chaos Space Marines as they are the first on the list.

Okay, so we can see from the Table of Contents what to expect here. We’ve got a pair of Detachments, a Datasheet for the Nemesis Claw Kill Team unit, the FAQs/Errata, and also Legends Datasheets. There’s one thing I want to point out about that last section. It starts on page 10, but this document is actually 74 page long. So yeah… That’s a MASSIVE section.

Again, if you’re playing 40k, it’s worth it for you to pop over and snag your respective Faction Pack. I don’t think you’ll find anything brand new in them, you’ll just find all the relevant downloads consolidated into a single spot.

What’s Not In The Faction Packs?

Now, while these Faction Packs are useful they aren’t everything you need to play your army. You’ll still want your codex. You’ll still need your core rules, too. The points will still be found in the Munitorum Field Manual as that’s not going away. The other big thing that’s staying out of these are the Combat Patrols. According to GW:

“Combat Patrols will remain as separate files, as they aren’t affected by core Warhammer 40,000 faction changes and we don’t want any confusion for newer players. “

I can kind of see the reasoning for that. Combat Patrols are almost like a separate thing unto themselves. You probably don’t want those documents buried in the Faction Pack. Plus some (aka Space Marines) factions have multiple Combat Patrols.

So get on over to the WarCom download page and snag your new consolidated Faction Pack(s).
