Big news for The Old World – as Cubicle 7 launches the Old World RPG Gamemaster’s Guide. Now you can decide how horribly everyone dies.
Now at last, Warhammer: The Old World RPG is complete – with the official launch of the Gamemaster’s Guide for the system. As the name suggests, this book is all about running the game. It has everything from dynamic campaign tools to a rogue’s gallery of helpful and harmful NPCs. So if you’re looking to play in the Old World (and specifically the new Old World, not the old Old World, which is in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay), you’ll want to check out the new GM’s guide, available now!
Warhammer: The Old World RPG – Gamemaster’s Guide
What’s funny is that the new Old World is older than the old Old World, but only in the internal chronology. Anyway. Before you go cross-eyed trying to untangle that knot, you should know that the new Old World Gamemaster’s Guide will set you up for success when running your game. One of the big draws of it is the new Dynamic Campaign Toolset.
These include systems for developing NPC contacts and unearthing grim portents that herald dark tidings. The Old World is beset by Chaos as it slithers in the shadows of the Empire (and everywhere else). There’s a very particular vibe to the new Old World, though, and the GM’s Guide is here to help you hit it.
I’m a fan of that, because there’s a reason to play in the new Old World RPG, and it’s for that intrigue and tension. For the creeping corruption andthe intrigue not necessarily the End Times, you know? So here’s what you can expect from the new book.
“Take your Warhammer campaigns to the next level with the Gamemaster’s Guide, a 192-page full-colour PDF packed with expert advice, storytelling tools, and game-enhancing mechanics for running unforgettable adventures in the grim world of Warhammer: the Old World.
Designed to complement the Player’s Guide, this essential volume gives Gamemasters everything they need to build immersive, perilous, and character-driven campaigns in a setting where every choice could lead to glory… or corruption.”
The book is available now in PDF form from DriveThruRPG or the Cubicle 7 webstore. A physical version is set to release in 2026, but you can start playing today if that’s your preference. The Old World awaits, either way! Will your heroes survive? Or fall to the creeping tides of corruption?
Calling it the new Old World doesn’t get old!
